The agreement between you and I Need Alerts
Terms of Service
Effective July 19, 2026I Need Alerts helps you schedule reminders, but it cannot guarantee that a notification will arrive. Keep independent records of court dates, payment deadlines, medical appointments, and other critical obligations.
01 Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the I Need Alerts mobile application, website, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by I Need Alerts (“I Need Alerts,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. The consumer Service is not directed to children under 13.
02 The reminder service
The Service lets you create one-time and recurring alerts, organize sub-alerts, and request delivery through available channels such as local or remote push notifications, email, and plan-enabled SMS. Features and supported channels may vary by device, plan, country, carrier, and provider availability.
Notifications may be delayed, blocked, duplicated, or never delivered because of network outages, device settings, battery restrictions, spam filtering, carrier rules, incorrect contact information, provider outages, or other conditions outside our control. The Service is an organizational aid—not an official calendar, court notice, emergency system, or substitute for professional advice.
You remain responsible for confirming every date, amount, location, filing requirement, and action with the authoritative source. Do not rely on I Need Alerts as your only record of a legal, financial, medical, safety, or other high-consequence obligation. The Service is not a 911 or emergency notification service.
03 Accounts and security
You agree to provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your credentials and devices, and notify us promptly of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. We may require email or phone verification before enabling certain features.
04 Your content
You retain ownership of alert titles, notes, uploaded documents, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You give us a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the Service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and that it does not violate law or another person’s rights.
When document scanning or AI-assisted drafting is available, suggested dates and actions are drafts. You must review and confirm them before relying on or saving them.
05 Notifications, email, and SMS
You control the channels selected for each reminder, subject to your plan and provider availability. Enabling device notifications does not guarantee delivery. Email may be filtered or delayed.
SMS reminders require a verified phone number, an eligible plan, and your separate express consent. Message frequency varies according to the reminders you create. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS and HELP for help. Where supported, reply START to resubscribe. After STOP, carrier or provider controls may prevent us from sending further texts until resubscription is confirmed. Push and email settings are managed separately.
You are responsible for keeping your phone number current. If a number changes ownership, remove it from your account promptly. You may not use the Service to send unlawful, deceptive, abusive, unsolicited, or third-party marketing messages.
06 Trials, subscriptions, and usage limits
Some features require a paid subscription or are subject to usage allowances. Trial length, price, renewal period, taxes, included SMS messages, AI requests, and document scans are shown before purchase. Unless canceled, an auto-renewing subscription renews through the platform where you purchased it, such as Apple’s App Store, under that platform’s billing terms.
You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but normally does not create a retroactive refund. Refund requests are handled under the applicable store rules and law. If an allowance is exhausted, the affected feature may be blocked or downgraded until the next period or a plan change.
07 Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, probe or bypass security or rate limits, access another user’s data, upload malware, reverse engineer restricted portions of the Service except where law permits, use automated traffic without authorization, or use the Service for unlawful harassment, fraud, surveillance, spam, or infringement.
08 Third-party services
The Service relies on operating-system features, hosting providers, Apple services, telecommunications carriers, Telnyx or another messaging provider, email providers, and—when enabled—document extraction and AI providers. Their services may have separate terms and may change or become unavailable. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond the extent required by law.
09 Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, interface, branding, and original content, is owned by I Need Alerts or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
10 Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, address nonpayment, or enforce these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
11 Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free extraction, or successful notification delivery. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
12 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I Need Alerts and its affiliates, personnel, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or opportunities arising from the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be limited for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or violation of mandatory consumer rights.
13 Changes and applicable law
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, email, or another appropriate method. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
Applicable law and courts depend on where I Need Alerts is legally established and on mandatory rights in your place of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or dispute forums that applicable consumer law guarantees you.
